Joseon korea tour at asian Civiliasations Museum

  • Saturday July 22nd 2pm to 4pm

Join us for an exclusive tour of the Joseon Korea exhibit at the Asian Civilizations Museum with curator Kan Shuyi. The Joseon era (1392–1897) was Korea’s last dynasty. The legacy of its courtly culture and vibrant city life lives on in South Korea today.

    About the curator:
Kan Shuyi is the Curator of Chinese art at the museum. She received her BA (Hons) in History from the National University of Singapore and her MA in History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia from SOAS, University of London. Since joining ACM in 2007, she has curated and co-curated several exhibitions at the museum, including The Kangxi Emperor (2009), Terracotta Warriors (2011), as well as Secrets of the Fallen Pagoda (2014). She has been excited by the opportunity to delve into the world of Korean art and history with ACM's latest exhibition, Joseon Korea: Court Treasures and City Life.
