Evening Talk: Conversations with George Yeo

Tuesday, February 16, 2016 - 7pm to 10pm SGT

Mr Yeo will cover his post-political life in the private sector, being on Pope Francis’ staff, his role as Chancellor of Nalanda University (the rebirth of the great Buddhist center of learning in the ancient world for 800 years), and his recent book On Bonsai, Banyan and the Tao.

George Yeo, HBS ’85 is Chairman of Kerry Logistics Network, and Vice-Chairman of the Kerry Group Limited in Hong Kong. He is Chancellor of Nalanda University and chairs the university’s Governing Board. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum, the Nicolas Berggruen Institute’s 21st Century Council, Advisory Panel to the Dean of the Harvard Business School, International Advisory Panels of IESE Business School, Guiyang Eco-Forum Global and Mitsubishi Corporation. He served for 23 years in the Government of Singapore as Minister for Information and the Arts, Minister for Health, Minister for Trade and Industry and Minister for Foreign Affairs. He was appointed to Pope Francis’ Pontifical Commission for Reference on the Economic-Administrative Structure of the Holy See, and is now a member of the Vatican Council of the Economy.
