28 Oct - HUAAS presents: Evening with Tommy Koh - Singapore's Ambassador-at-LargE

Professor Tommy Koh (LLM'64), Ambassador-at-Large for the Government of Singapore and diplomat extraordinaire, needs little introduction. He is currently Chairman of the Governing Board of the NUS Centre for International Law, Rector of Tembusu College of the NUS and a special advisor to the Institute of Policy Studies. In his illustrious career, Prof. Koh has held a variety of posts: Chairman of the National Heritage Board, many senior positions at NUS and the United Nations, and was Singapore's Ambassador to the UN and the US. He has written extensively and published several highly acclaimed books. In 2008, he was conferred the Order of Nila Utama by the Singapore Government.

Prof Koh received an LLB from NUS, an LLM from Harvard University, and a post-graduate diploma in Criminology from Cambridge University (he was conferred a full professorship in 1977).

Highly personable, ever inquisitive and engaging, Prof Koh will certainly be one of HUAAS' keynote dinner speakers this year.
